(FOX40.COM) -- Central Valley residents said that sometimes the heat feels even hotter than what the thermometer shows.

With high temperatures expected again this weekend, Stockton residents are looking for ways to cool off and splash pads seem to be the popular choice on Friday.

At the Weber Point Events Center, visitors can be found enjoying the shade under the trees, picnic tables and plenty of play spaces. For many, the splash pads have become a frequent destination.

One resident, William Spence, said his family has visited every single day this summer. On Friday, Spence and his baby, Atlas, ran around in laughter as they weaved through the water spouting from the jets.
