Hall of Fame manager Bobby Cox returned to Truist Park for the first time in more than a year – and only the second time since 2019 – as the Atlanta Braves celebrated the 1995 World Series Championship team prior to tonight’s game against the New York Mets.
The majority of the team’s players and coaching staff were on-hand for the event. Hall of Fame pitchers John Smoltz, Greg Maddux and Tom Glavine threw out the first pitch to current Braves Hurston Waldrep, Sean Murphy and Spencer Schwellenbach.
Among the members of the team who were on-hand today were David Justice, Javy Lopez, Chipper Jones, Fred McGriff, Mark Lemkle, Marquis Grissom, Ryan Klesko, Mark Wohlers, Greg McMicheal, Kent Mercker and Alejandro Peña.
