BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- The Birmingham Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection to a shooting that occurred in early August.
The BPD says East Precinct Officers were dispatched to the 7300 block of 1st Avenue North on August 6 on a report of a business being shot into. Officers learned that a male suspect became irate in Family Dollar and discharged a firearm before exiting the building.
Officers identified a suspect based on video footage. The suspect was identified as Christopher Ceasar, 46, of Birmingham.
Felony Assault Detectives with the BPD presented case information to the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office, and Ceasar was issued with warrants for Attempted Murder and Shooting into an Occupied Business.
Ceasar was taken into custody in the 8100 Block of
