TUSCALOOSA, Ala (WIAT) – The Tuscaloosa Police Department says two children younger than four years old were left in a hotel room alone, leading to a potential child negligence investigation.
TPD received a call from Intown Suites, located on Veterans Memorial Parkway, at around 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, according to the department’s spokesperson. CBS 42 News spoke with the hotel’s manager, who confirmed he was the person who found two children left alone in the room.
CBS 42 news obtained a photo which shows a gun inside the room the children were left in.
“It’s endangerment,” Child Abuse and Prevention Services Service Delivery Director Phyllis Simon said. "Just imagine if one of those children picked up the gun. We don’t know if it was loaded but, what if it was loaded?”
Given it is
