BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Concerned parents are speaking out after more than a dozen fights broke out during the Parker vs. Ramsay football game at Legion Field, an event meant to celebrate non-violence.
Birmingham Police says they are working with Birmingham City Schools to determine whether parents should be required to attend games with their children.
Lawrence Broom, a Parker High School alumnus, said his 10-year-old daughter was at the game with her mother. He saw reports of the violence while out to dinner and immediately feared for her safety.
