ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The St. Louis County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a man who has been missing since Tuesday.

Steven Reed, 41, has been missing since Tuesday evening, when family members last spoke with him. Reed’s car was found abandoned on Wednesday in the Columbia Bottom Conservation area.

According to police, there is a concern for Reed’s safety as he made statements of self-harm and his family has not heard from him.

Reed is 5′6, weighs 155 pounds, has short, black hair and brown eyes.

St. Louis County police included a picture of Reed’s dog, “Blue,” which is believed to be with him.
