Seven survivors of a devastating July fire at a Fall River assisted living facility that killed 10 residents filed a lawsuit Wednesday against the home and one of its vendors, the latest civil action to be brought in the wake of the tragedy.
The seven former Gabriel House residents filed suit in Bristol Superior Court against the facility, its owner Dennis Etzkorn , and safety equipment provider Fire Systems Inc., based in Dartmouth, records show.
The former residents were identified as Albert Almanza, Larry Ashworth, Muriel Boyce, Shirley Cambra, Lorraine Ferrera, Caroline Johnson, and James Vicery, all of whom have relocated to facilities in Brockton and Fall River.
Multiple lawsuits have been filed in connection with the deadly blaze , which officials deemed “accidental,”
