Geddes, N.Y. — More than 75,000 people came to the New York State Fair on Friday, a day that celebrated Pride and welcomed new U.S. citizens.
Attendance on Friday was 75,726, according to fair officials. That’s higher than last year’s third-day crowd of 64,791, and it came on a day packed with ceremonies, parades and music.
In the past five years, Day 3 attendance has typically ranged from 73,000 to 75,000, making this year’s crowd slightly higher than usual.
Fifty-one people were sworn in as U.S. citizens during a naturalization ceremony at the fairgrounds. Pride Day was also celebrated with events across the grounds and the first parade of the 2025 Fair.
The evening concerts drew huge crowds. Jessie Murph performed at Suburban Park, attracting about 49,000 fans, officials said.
