PHOENIX — The Arizona Humane Society (AHS) is offering free adoptions on big dogs and small critters this weekend.
The adoption special is offered for dogs over 50 pounds and small critters, such as rabbits, guinea pigs and rodents.
“Critters make a great first-time pet. … These fluffballs are not only incredibly cute, but they are low-maintenance and typically inexpensive to care for,” AHS said in the announcement. “If you’re a teacher preparing for the upcoming school year, critters area also wonderful classroom pets to help educate your students on caring for living things.”
All three of AHS’s campuses will be offering the free adoptions from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
