PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — A 29-year-old man is facing nearly a dozen charges after crashing a motorcycle into a home in Pierce County and trying to run from police on Thursday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 2 p.m. when the man, who deputies say was traveling at an "unsafe speed," lost control of his motorcycle near the intersection of Vickery Avenue East and 104th Street East in Midland.

"This was the middle of the daytime. Multiple people had seen him driving reckless... blowing through intersections," Pierce County Sheriff's Deputy Carly Cappetto told KING 5.

The motorcycle collided with another vehicle at the intersection, ejecting the rider. The unmanned motorcycle continued down the street, crashed through a residential fence and landed on the porch of a home in the 3900 bloc
