I’ve seen dogs go through some truly heartbreaking things, but few are as disturbing as when a helpless pup is poisoned while just trying to survive.

In some parts of the world, people leave out poisoned food to intentionally harm dogs. It’s cruel, unnecessary, and something that must stop.

That’s exactly what happened to this poor stray, who was spotted by kind strangers in distress. Not knowing what else to do, they reached out to the California-based rescue organization, Hope For Paws , for urgent help.

Once the call came in, a dedicated rescuer didn’t waste a second. He grabbed his gear and immediately set out to save the dog.
