One supermarket has topped our price comparison as the most expensive store for the eight week running after selling one item for considerably more than its rivals.

We previously reported how Sainsbury's is selling its 500g pack of mince meat for £3.50 , coming in at a significantly higher price than rivals Lidl, Aldi and Morrisons who are selling the item for £2.99. It is only the likes of Asda and Tesco who are following Sainsbury's to break the £3 mark for the price of the item, with Asda now charging £3.14 while Tesco has recently followed Sainsbury's in charging £3.50.
