Attendees at Sen. Moreno’s City Club speech should have had some leeway in expressing their concerns: Letter to the Editor

As I was reading the Plain Dealer article about Sen. Bernie Moreno’s recent visit to The City Club of Cleveland (“ Moreno faces raucous crowd in first public forum ,” Aug. 21), I became increasingly angry. This was Moreno’s first time in seven months to publicly face his constituents; and rather than sit silently like good little boys and girls as Moreno spewed his MAGA talking points, they expressed their outrage vocally. City Club CEO Dan Moulthrop and Mark Ross, who heads the City Club board, intervened, but they need to check themselves.

These are not normal times. The MAGA crowd does not play by the rules and City Club attendees should be given the same consideration.
