A woman’s drug addiction likely fueled a pair of assaults that included striking a man with a stick, court heard Friday.

Nikki Mortimore, 31, pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice, breach of release order, breach of undertaking and two counts each assault and mischief under $5,000.

She pushed a woman at a Chambers Avenue home in February 2023, said assistant Crown attorney Stuart Woods. The victim’s hair was pulled. Mortimore tried to punch the woman. The victim’s reading glasses were broken.
