FORT COLLINS and GREELEY — Employee wages appear to be at the heart of the dispute between new and former owners of two Doug’s Diner restaurants, based on two filings made Thursday in Weld District Court.
The new owners of the Fort Collins and Greeley Doug’s Diner restaurants allege that the previous owners “vastly underreported employee compensation” of more than $455,000 in base wages, among other things.
They say this created a warranty breach in their sales contracts, which they’re now trying to work out. At the same time, a hearing is set for 9 a.m. Wednesday related to a request for a preliminary injunction against the restaurants in Fort Collins and Greeley.
