La Serre, 201 Glen Ave. next to the Michigan Medicine campus, sits on the first floor of the Vanguard Hotel.

Its signature La Serre Burger was a highlight of my recent date night there, as its beef patties, mushrooms and gruyere cheese pop with flavor.
