A pedestrian was killed Thursday night in Montgomery after being struck by a vehicle.

At about 9:20 p.m. Aug. 21, police went to the area of Eastern Boulevard at Vaughn Road on a call about a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian, said Lt. Ernestina McGriff, spokeswoman for the Montgomery Police Department. Officers found a man who had sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead, she said. The man's age was unknown, she said.

No other information about the incident was immediately released by police.
