U.S. immigration officials announced that they are looking to deport Kilmar Abrego Garcia to Uganda after he refused an offer to be sent to Costa Rica in exchange for remaining in jail and pleading guilty to human smuggling charges. Abrego Garcia was released from a Tennessee jail on Friday as he waits to stand trial in Maryland where his family is located. His case first made national headlines back in March when he was mistakenly deported to El Salvador despite a judge's ruling that he remain in the United States.
