PEMBROKE — State police have released the identities of the five people killed in Friday's tragic tour bus crash on the Thruway.

The eastbound bus was approaching the Pembroke exit at about 12:30 p.m. when its driver, Bin Shao, 55, of Flushing, N.Y. lost control of the vehicle, state police said. The bus went into the median and then into a ditch on the right side of the road before overcorrecting.
