LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Two people are dead and three others were injured in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning.

Lansing Police said the crash happened around 4:30 A.M in the 300 block of W. Oakland Ave.

After arriving at the scene, officers found that the vehicle carrying five people had crashed into a utility pole.

Officers said that a 20-year-old and a 21-year-old were found dead at the scene. A 23-year-old and a 33-year-old were sent to the hospital and are in stable condition. Police also said a 29-year-old was also sent to the hospital and is in critical condition.

Officials said that alcohol and speed appear to be contributing factors in the accident and that the investigation is still ongoing.
