CHICO, Calif. — Kim Sutton, the head coach of Chico State women's soccer, announced she will retire following the 2025 season. Her departure marks the end of a remarkable 24-year tenure.

Sutton has become a prominent figure in collegiate soccer, amassing a record of 226-146-76 at Chico State. Her career highlights include leading the Wildcats to six CCAA North Division titles and seven NCAA Championship Tournament appearances.

“Coach Sutton’s longevity and on-the-field success speak for themselves,” said Chico State President Steve Perez. He praised Sutton's ability to foster a strong culture and inspire both current players and alumni.
