WOODSTOCK, N.Y. — Scott Dean will go for his second men’s club championship at Woodstock Golf Club in three years when he faces Brian Williams in the 36-hole title match starting at 8:10 a.m. on Sunday.

Dean, who was seeded No. 2 in the men’s bracket, defeated No. 3 Chris Helsmoortel, 5 and 4, in one of the two 18-hole semifinal matches on Saturday.

No. 4 Williams upset No. 1 Samuel Baumslag, 1-up, in the other semifinal.

Dean, the 2023 men’s club championship, lost to 11-time champ Chris Grady in last year’s finale. Grady didn’t enter this year’s tournament.

There will be a new club champion at the Wiltwyck Golf Club this year. Mike Hein and Saugerties High golfer Ty Monroe will meet in Sunday’s 36-hole title match for the men’s club championship starting at 7:30 a.m.
