Union County youth from first grade through first year after high school can now register for 4-H clubs meeting during the 2025-2026 school year.

There are classes for youth interested in activities including cooking, sewing, photography, archery, robotics and more.

Union County Commissioner Bette Jane Kowalski, who serves as Rutgers Cooperative Extension Liaison and is a former 4-H member, emphasized the program’s long-term impact.

“They learn to see the bigger picture, understanding that the skills and abilities they develop are not only important for their own futures, but also for the future of our community,” she said.

The program, which runs from October to June, is operated by the Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Union County.
