Niskayuna's Olsen to play women's pro basketball in Germany

Niskayuna’s Olivia Olsen described herself as a live-in-the-moment person. So when Erin Bath became Providence College’s new head coach before Olsen’s junior year there, what she was telling the team hadn’t crossed Olsen’s mind before.

“She put it into our heads that if you want to play after college, you’ve got to do everything you can to ensure that it happens,” Olsen recalled. “And I was, like, sure, whatever. I hadn’t thought about what I wanted to do after college. I did my own thing. I mean, I did everything the coaches wanted me to do, but generally, I played my game and hoped it was good enough.”
