The Cincinnati Fire Department says that teams remain in the midst of a search and recovery mission for a man on the Ohio River.

Rescue crews were spotted patrolling much of the river throughout the day on Saturday around Cincinnati. Advertisement

Initial calls about the incident were made just before 11 p.m. after a man was seen falling off the Purple People Bridge.

According to CFD, the man is believed to be deceased, and as of 4:40 p.m., had still not been found.

CFD says that Boone County Water Rescue and the Hamilton County Underwater Dive and Recovery Team will now lead further recovery efforts.
