A week into the job of Dothan’s school superintendent, Dr. Garrick Askew addressed questions from community members and parents about his plans for the district with the release of a plan designed to guide his first 180 days by focusing on listening, learning, and building relationships across the district and community.

“I’m excited about the opportunity in Dothan and the possibilities for the students,” Askew said. “Together, we can lift the system to even greater achievement and provide the long-term stability and growth that the system deserves.”

The plan is intended to provide coherence during the transition and includes goals, strategies, and deliverables that will culminate in a 180-day report to the Board of Education with findings and recommendations.
