COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — According to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, 19-year-old Tyron Shelley and 20-year-old Ta’John Goodwin are being charged with murder.

On August 22, just after 12:30 p.m., deputies say they responded to The Roost Apartments at 1051 Southern Drive in reference to a shooting.

When deputies arrived, they say they located an adult victim with a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was pronounced dead on scene by EMS. The suspects fled before deputies’ arrival.

Investigators were able to identify a gold Chevy Tahoe as the suspect vehicle and locate both the vehicle and Tyron Shelley at Shelley’s residence in the Earlewood area.
