MAYSVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — Kentucky State Police (KSP) is investigating a deadly Friday night crash that took place in Mason County.

Around 7:45 p.m. on Aug. 22, troopers with KSP Post 8 in Morehead were contacted by deputies with the Mason County Sheriff's Office for help investigating a deadly crash near the 4000 block of KY-10.

An initial investigation showed that Joshua Childers, Elizabeth Appleman, and Jimmy Keller, all from Germantown, Kentucky, were driving in a black Chevrolet Trailblazer when they allegedly struck a red Chevrolet Corvette that had been disabled on the road.

State police said in a news release that the driver of the Corvette, 62-year-old Brian Heron of Maysville, was trying to get his disabled car off the road when he was allegedly hit by Childer's Trailblazer, w
