Levi Kemp has been a part of the Lock City Home Center (LCHC) family for 22 years, and owner for the last five. Much of the success for LCHS has been able to adapt to situations that are out of its control.
Most recently, when Kemp took over the reins in October 2020, it was only a few months later that the COVID pandemic hit, along with the restrictions put forth on businesses by the government.
"We signed on the dotted line, and two weeks later, the Governor shut down the state. It was a lot of headache just going through the process of the purchase, and then we thought we were in the clear, then COVID hit," Kemp said.
Kemp and his business survived the pandemic. Now, he has been keeping an eye on the tariff situation on imported goods.
