CLEVELAND — A second Cleveland officer has been arrested on suspicion of OVI following a crash involving a Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department vehicle early Saturday.
Cuyahoga County Press Secretary Jennifer Ciaccia confirmed Saturday that the crash occurred around 1 a.m. Saturday morning.
Sheriff's Units responded to the scene, taking Brian Brunner into custody after arriving at the intersection of Lakewood Heights Boulevard and Alger Road.
The sheriff's department sergeant was in a Sheriff's Unit working a construction part-time job when the crash happened, officials say, as the unit was blocking traffic for the entrance ramp of Warren Road and I-90 westbound.
The unit was struck almost head-on by a black Chevrolet Silverado as it drove through the intersection, according to count
