BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WAND) — Bloomington Police arrested a man Friday for administering abortion medication without the mother's consent, killing her unborn child.

Police responded to a Bloomington home around 7 p.m. for a pregnant woman having a medical emergency.

After investigating, police said 31-year-old Emerson Evans administered abortion inducing drugs to the woman without her knowledge or consent. She started having medical complications and suffered a miscarriage.

Police found and arrested Evans on two counts of intentional homicide of an unborn child.
