MERIDIAN, Idaho — A man in his 40s died Saturday afternoon at Roaring Springs water park after experiencing a medical emergency in the Action River attraction.
The incident happened around 2:48 p.m. According to a statement from Roaring Springs management, members of the man's party and a lifeguard immediately recognized his distress while he remained on the surface of the water on his back.
The man was quickly pulled from the water, where life-saving efforts were performed by Roaring Springs EMT staff, lifeguards and Ada County Paramedics.
Management said that despite the prompt response, he died from what the park described as a "yet-to-be-announced medical condition."
The Meridian Police Department confirmed the death was from natural causes and said no investigation is underway.
