LONGVIEW, Texas (KETK) - A dead body was found near East Loop 281 in Longview on Saturday afternoon.

The Longview Police Department said officers were dispatched to the 500 block of East Loop 281 after a dead body was found at around 4:11 p.m.

Investigators are currently at the scene processing evidence and gathering information. Longview PD said there's no signs of any danger to the public at this time.
