This comes after he was diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome, the news was announced this Saturday by the team on their social media.
The right-hander underwent surgery this week to remove a blood clot in his right shoulder. The surgery typically involves removing a rib to help decompress the area.
The pitcher in the 2025 season had a great performance, leaving a total of 195 strikeouts, this being the most in the Major Leagues, at 149 and accumulating an ERA of 2.71.
