With most of this year’s new games now having a release date, a reader offers his list of the most exciting, from Hollow Knight: Silksong to Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds.

I’ve been enjoying the Gamescom coverage this week, which I think everyone agrees has been better than expected. It’s not the last showcase event of the year, but Tokyo Game Show and The Game Awards are too late to really expect anything new to be announced for release this year.

You might get a Nintendo Direct or State of Play that announces a minor game but at this point I doubt even that. So basically, we now know all the games that are going to be released this year, even if some of them don’t have exact release dates yet.
