COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — According to the Columbia Police Department, investigators are working to determine who fatally shot a man on Friday around 10 p.m.

The shooting took place at the Hot Spot gas station at 3213 Farrow Road.

The victim was taken to the hospital and later died.

At around 10 p.m. on Saturday night, Columbia PD says patrol officers have located a vehicle of interest in connection with the fatal shooting. A police pursuit on Elmwood and Sumter Streets ended with the detainment of a male occupant at Harden and Lady Streets.
