CHICAGO (WLS) -- Three people were injured Saturday in a crash involving a Chicago police squad car on the city's South Side.

The crash happened around 6:01 p.m. in the 6600 block of South Normal Boulevard in Englewood, Chicago police said.

Police said the driver of a black SUV ran a stop sign, hitting the police vehicle.

The driver and two officers were taken to hospitals, CPD said. None of the injuries were serious.

Police said citations are pending.
