The Bay County Boys Soccer Championship hung on every kick in a sudden-death shootout situation – one of the most intense and pressure-packed scenarios in sports.
And the Bay City Western coach knew who was able.
But first he wanted to know who was willing.
“I ask the guys who wants to take them,” Jean said. “Not everybody does.
“There were about seven who said they would take one. Then I looked at Tyler and he said ‘Yeah, I’ll do it.’ It’s crazy it came down to him – a freshman.”
