WASHINGTON — The Powerball jackpot inched closer to $1 billion after no one won the grand prize on Saturday.
While Saturday's drawing had no jackpot winner, three people became millionaires after having guessed all five white ball numbers correctly.
Two players, in Maine and New York, have tickets worth $1 million for guessing the five numbers. One South Dakota ticket is worth $2 million because the player bought the optional Power Play multiplier, doubling their earnings.
For Saturday's drawing, Powerball players had a chance at a $700 million jackpot as the streak of no big winners continues.
