CHAFFEE, Mo. (KFVS) - Frisco Field played host to several games of softball, with the goal being improving before the real games begin.

Chaffee hosted Neelyville, Notre Dame and East Carter on Saturday morning, with three-inning contests going on between each school.

The host Lady Devils enter the season with high expectations, coming off back-to-back trips to state and, most recently, a 3rd-place finish in 2024.

“Facing big competition like this is really good at the beginning of the season, trying to get us ready for state and then go as far as we can,” Millie Carroll, a sophomore, said.

With a loaded sophomore and junior class, the Lady Devils’ experience is there. But head coach Brian Horrell knows that experience and talent still have to work to get back to the final four.
