Premier suggests that the province's school boards may need to explain how education dollars are being spent
Premier Danielle Smith says negotiations with teachers are ongoing, and there is adequate money being provided to educate Alberta’s student population.
And, she suggested the province will be looking into how much school boards spend on administration compared to their classrooms.

The possibility of a provincewide teachers’ strike or lockout was the lead topic on Smith’s radio show on 880 CHED and QR Calgary Saturday morning.
In May, the Alberta Teachers’ Association voted overwhelmingly to authorize strike action if needed. Negotiations are ongoing, but at this moment parents across the province aren’t sure if their kids will be returning to school or not
