Marcus Rashford’s first start for Barcelona ended ignominy after he was hauled off at half-time by Hansi Flick.

The 27-year-old is hoping to relaunch his career with the Spanish champions after joining on loan from Manchester United in the summer.

Rashford made his competitive debut as a second-half substitute in last weekend’s 3-0 win over Real Mallorca but was handed a chance to impress from the start last night.

Unfortunately, the England international endured a night to forget after he was dragged off atthe break with his side trailing 2-0.

Flick’s changes, ultimately, proved vindicated as his side launched a stunning comeback with a late Unai Elgezabal own goal putting the seal on a 3-2 win.
