For the second straight day, College of Southern Idaho volleyball went 1-1 at the Florida Southwestern Battle at the Beach in Fort Myers, Fla.

The Golden Eagles lost to Eastern Florida State College in four sets (20-25, 25-14, 21-25, 18-25) before ending the tournament with a sweep of No. 15 Dayton State College (25-14, 25-12, 25-18).

Freshman Ava Pond recorded a team-high 12 kills and added four blocks and six digs in the loss to Eastern Florida State. Mina Benucci added 11 kills and a team-high seven blocks. Dalayni Brindley recorded a team-high 28 assists and five digs.

Hazuna Akishige contributed a team-high 18 digs. Emerson Heatwole (Kimberly) finished with eight digs and a team-high four aces.
