ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — The driver of a semi truck involved in a fatal crash in St. Lucie County earlier this month is now facing additional manslaughter charges.

Harjinder Singh, 28, was driving a semi truck on the Florida Turnpike when he attempted an illegal U-turn and caused a minivan to slam into the trailer, killing the three occupants.

Singh, who state officials said is in the country illegally, went back to California after the crash.

The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles issued an arrest warrant for three counts of vehicular homicide last week. Recently appointed Lt. Gov. Jay Collins then went to California to bring Singh back to F
