LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg, D-Louisville, proclaimed Saturday, Aug. 23 as “Nanz & Kraft Florists Day” to honor the small business’s nearly two centuries of business. The Kraft family credits their success to the passion of their employees and the power of community.
Nanz & Kraft Florists has been delivering bloom and smiles in the city of Louisville for 175 years.
“I just gave a single flower to a lady yesterday at the bank, and she looked at me and goes, ‘Oh my gosh! You just made my day’,” said Eddie Kraft, president of Nanz & Kraft Florists. The family-owned business was founded by German immigrant Henry Nanz in 1850.
