Protesters marched along U Street, N.W. in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, August 23 to protest the Trump-Vance administration takeover of the Metropolitan Police Department and the deploying of the National Guard to the streets of the city. In the area of D.C. around the protest are a number of bars and restaurants: including the LGBTQ venues Bunker, Crush Dance Bar, Revolt and Spark Social House.
