Ange Postecoglou is in talks over a Premier League return less than three months after he was sacked by Tottenham.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy decided to sack Postecoglou at the end of last season despite the Australian leading the club to their first major trophy in 17 years.
Tottenham won the Europa League last season but their European form was not mirrored in the Premier League where they finished just 17th, losing 22 of their 38 games.
Postecoglou rejected an immediate return to management in the summer after being approached by Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli.
But the 59-year-old has now approved a return to the Premier League after holding talks with Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis.
