Teenage star Gilberto Mora continued his scorching hot form for Tijuana, scoring two goals in a 3-3 draw against Chivas on Friday.
The Mexican international needed just five minutes to get on the scoresheet, capitalizing on a mistake from Chivas center back Miguel Tapias.
After midfielder Frank Boya doubled the lead for Tijuana in the 51st minute, Mora was able to secure a brace in the 64th minute courtesy of a rebound opportunity.
Although the goal initially was not given, the VAR and referee Katia Itzel García decided to reverse the call.
Despite the three-goal lead by Xolos, the club's defense became fragile, allowing three goals within the latter stages of the match to only walk away with one point at Estadio Caliente.
Mora has been on a tear for Tijuana, scoring five goals in the last six matches across all competitions (Liga MX Apertura and Leagues Cup).
The sky appears to be the limit for Mora. At just 16 years old, he played a pivotal role for El Tri at this summer's Gold Cup, starting all three knockout-stage matches as the nation secured the title.
After the game, Tijuana head coach Sebastián Abreu was full of praise for his young star.
"We should not talk about Gilberto as a youth player anymore," Abreu said. "He is 16 years old, but he is a first-division player, the same as the rest.
"He is showing football conditions, characteristics, goals, positioning on the field of play, where he is versatile and moves like a professional first-division player."
Tijuana stays put in its next Liga MX bout as it hosts Necaxa on Sunday, its last match before the international break.
Currently Xolos sit in seventh place, accumulating nine points through six matches in the opening stages of the Apertura season.
