Browns center Ethan Pocic "potentially" could be back in the lineup when the team opens the regular season in two weeks despite suffering a knee injury in the preseason finale against the Los Angeles Rams , coach Kevin Stefanski said on a Zoom call Aug. 24.
Pocic was seen wearing a brace on his left knee as he left the locker room after the game. The Browns have just over two weeks until they open the regular season against the Cincinnati Bengals Sept. 7.
Pocic was injured with 7:21 remaining in the first quarter. He was engaged with Rams linebacker Brennan Jackson when defensive end Desjuan Johnson came in behind him while trying to get to quarterback Joe Flacco.
As Jackson engaged with Pocic, Pocic went backwards over Johnson. That caused the left knee to buckle.
