Thanks to a trade with the Minnesota Vikings, the Philadelphia Eagles have helped Carson Wentz land another job in the NFL .

On Sunday, it was reported that the Eagles and the Vikings have agreed to a deal, which sends the quarterback Sam Howell to the Eagles in exchange for a fifth-round pick in 2026 and a seventh-round pick in 2027. Along with Howell, the Eagles will land a sixth-round pick for the 2026 NFL Draft.

The move gets done not long after the Eagles' backup Tanner McKee suffered a setback. In case he's not ready to back up Jalen Hurts in Week 1, Howell will have some time to learn the playbook and the system.

The Vikings' backup plan includes adding former Eagles star Carson Wentz. The veteran quarterback is expected to play backup to the emerging star, JJ McCarthy.
